The food is good, but the atmosphere and people are the reasons to come to Le Petit it is a show with food. Have an afternoon bottle of wine and enjoy the experience. The bartender/counter man is truly a gem!

I was looking forward to dining at Le Petit Vendome for many months during my trip to Paris and made my reservation weeks ahead. When we arrived, we were seated at a table barely inside the doorway where the cigarette smoke wafted in directly from outside. I am from the fine dining background (four generation in my family); so, when I say it was the worst table in the restaurant, it truly was. We asked for a different table, and we were told we would need to wait 35 minutes. I wasn't willing to have people bumping against our table and trying to enjoy food while smelling smoke, which would make it impossible for both of us. I really wanted to eat there, but we left.
